theme of 12 angry men

12 angry men has a few different themes present and they vary from small to quite large and important. The biggest themes that are present in the play are social inequality and the right for true justice. The justice theme plays out the through the entire length of the story. The main theme I noticed while reading the play was the call for justice. Going through the play you will notice that the jurors aren't really the greatest of people and that even though the kid might be innocent they are too one sided to see anything else. They wont give him a fair shot and wont let true justice be had for his case. The only one who tried was 8 who always brought up the law for "innocent until proven guilty." and told the jurors that "maybe there was something not being said". Everyone dismissed him. that is not true justice and they didn't let the kid have a chance. Would you have viewed this any differently? do you think justice was served or do you agree about abuse of powers as a juror?
